Welcome to Circle Back
Circle Back makes buying and selling preloved children's clothes effortless.
Circle Back launched in February of 2020, way before any of us knew what a curveball the year was going to throw us. After many road blocks, lots of highs and plenty of lows, Circle Back's online store launched in April 2021.
Circle Back was created for parents who are both mindful of their environmental impact but are also design-conscious.

Sharday Engel - Founder and Owner of Circle Back
This is the story of how things 'circled back'.
Hi! I'm Sharday (she/her) and I'm the face behind Vancouver-based Circle Back. I'm a mama of two and an Aussie expat who's been living in Canada for over 8 years now.
You can say working with children's clothes goes way back in my family history. My grandparents were immigrants from Europe and started their own successful children's coat company in Australia way back in the 1950's. When my Dad was in his twenties he joined the family business and helped modernize the business all the way through to the 1980's, before leaving to pursue other passions.
Funnily enough, it's taken me a while to find my true passion. I studied Advertising and Merchandising, worked in womenswear at Aritzia and Kit and Ace, but having my first-born Lily made me reassess what kind of business I wanted to work in. This led me to the amazing opportunity of working with Jennifer Wilson at VONBON. Things started to come full circle, bringing me back to my family heritage of working in children's clothing!
When VONBON closed in 2018, I was compelled to consider the kind of work I was doing, and where I wanted to be. As my children grew older (and out of their clothes) I realized how important it is to make economical, and sustainable clothing choices. I am passionate about the environment, and the wastefulness of fast fashion is something that really concerns me. I want the world to be in a better state for my children, than it has been handed down to us. This was when I realized there was an opportunity in the market to curate and sell second hand children's clothing.
"Circle Back was born out of the idea that buying and selling pre-loved children's clothes should be effortless" - Sharday Engel
Buying pre-loved clothing can have a huge positive impact on our planet. In Canada, the average person throws out 81 pounds (36 kilograms) of textiles annually, while North Americans send 10 million tonnes of clothing to the landfill every year — most of which could be reused or recycled, according to statistics compiled by Waste Reduction Week in Canada. Circle Back hopes to reduce the amount of clothing going to landfill by providing an affordable and easy way to sell pre-loved clothes and give them a second life.
Giving back to our community is incredibly important to me and you can find more about Circle Back's charity initiatives here.
